The Waluigi Apparition is an anomalous entity found in some personalized copies of Super Mario 64 DS. It is described as the disembodied head of Waluigi, manifested from people's desires to locate them in the game. They appear in Dire, Dire Docks' entrance hallway, because this anomaly is extremely unoriginal and that's where the Wario Apparition would appear. Waluigi's paying me to write this to make him sound more intimidating, and I bet he won't even read it.

So like, you enter the hallway and you hear Waluigi start yelling racial slurs at you. Wait no, he's just in my house again. Oh well. Yeah, he'll yell at you and you'll see his head- Is that cropped from Purple Prizes? That looks like it's cropped out of Purple Prizes. Hold on, I need to check the magazine.
That's weird. Is that like an actual model someone ripped from their copy or- Whatever, it doesn't matter. Anyways, yeah, that Waluigi model will decapitate itself after leaving the Menstruation Manor portal, enlarge itself... Somehow, and then chase you down the hallway which is now infinite because of course it is. Waluigi had all these unique pages going for him and then he pays me to make the most unoriginal page ever and ruin his legacy. We had Wow! Waluigi, Rabbit Meadow, Piranha Pit, the Negative World, Waluigi Mode, all that, and then we downgrade to this.
Anyways, if Waluigi catches you, the game will crash and one of your DS apps will be replaced with Wow! Waluigi. You paid money for that? Too bad, it's Waluigi now. Already have Wow! Waluigi? Have two of them. Don't have any other apps? I don't think that's physically possible, but your cartridge gets overridden with Wow! Waluigi. SM64DS is digital and not a cartridge? Stop trying to get loopholes, after like 5 instances of this your entire DS will be bricked. And the Waluigi Apparition will appear every time you enter that hallway until you escape.
What happens when you escape? Fuck you, Waluigi Mode activates at maximum difficulty. This anomaly shall end your time playing Super Mario 64 DS, regardless of whether or not you win against Waluigi. Waluigi's number one, after all!
