Phenomena[]
Rainbow Village[]
Main Article: Rainbow Village
In Super Smash Bros. Melee, a village can be seen in the background of the Rainbow Ride stage. This has baffled players for years until personalized copies surfaced, supposedly containing the Rainbow Village, as players call it. It is most commonly accessed by firing from the cannon at a certain spot, in which the player will be warped to the village.
Inside the Airship[]
Supposedly, in certain personalized copies of the game, players can enter inside the airship by ground-pounding at a certain spot above the ship. Inside the ship is allegedly a large wooden area filled with rooms separated by doors, as well as various Goombas, Bob-ombs, and an exclusive enemy, Hammer Bros. There are also 8 Red Coins hidden inside the various rooms, in which collecting all of them will reward the player with a Star as always.
Paragoombas[]
Paragoombas are enemies in the Super Mario Bros. series, first appearing in Super Mario Bros 3, that have been reported to appear in Rainbow Ride. They are winged variants of Goombas. In manifestations where they appear, they can simply be reskins of Goombas with no added functionality, have the ability to jump around, or be able to fly in a similar manner to a moon jump cheat or the Wing Cap.
Decorated House[]
In some copies, the manor that the player must enter to complete the star The Big House in the Sky has furniture besides just the fireplace. These include bookshelves, tables, and chairs. All of the models appear to be reused from Big Boo's Haunt, but with their aggressive behavior removed. Bookends reportedly spawn from the bookshelves in certain versions, adding a level of challenge as the player must dodge them as the carpet passes through the house.
