Monty Moles as they appear in Super Mario 64.

Monty Moles are enemies in Super Mario 64. They appear in Hazy Maze Cave and Tall, Tall Mountain. They are brown moles that reside in holes and throw rocks at Mario when they are outside of the hole. If Mario gets too close, they will go back inside of their hole. They are defeated by being jumped on. If Mario jumps on Monty Moles enough, they will earn more lives.

Bomber Moles

Bomber Moles are anomalous versions of Monty Moles that throw Bob-ombs instead of rocks. They usually appear when the Personalization A.I. wants to make the game harder for the player.

Rocky Wrench

Rocky Wrenches are anomalous versions of Monty Moles that throw straight-moving wrenches at the player instead of lobbed rocks. They seem to be based on the Rocky Wrench enemy from other Mario games such as Super Mario Bros. 3, which is also a mole very similar to the Monty Mole.
