Flower Fields is an anomalous level found in some personalized copies of Super Mario 64. It is usually reported in spring in copies with the Internal Clock anomaly, though can appear without it. The level usually has several patches of flowers, and a unique positive emotional aura contrasting Wet-Dry World.

Geography[]

Flower Fields usually appears as a simple, round area with several flower patches. It usually has no music, instead having ambient sound effects, and the only documented enemies being Goombas and Bob-ombs. The level usually lacks several objects required to obtain stars, such as red coins, though collecting every star has been reported to be possible.

Stars[]

This level, fitting with it's simplicity, usually only has basic stars. These can include a 100 coin star, 8 red coins, 5 secrets, as well as a star simply lying around in the level. Notably, Big Bob-omb has been reported to appear and drop a star, which is odd as Flower Fields does not usually replace Bob-omb Battlefield. This, and the fact Bob-ombs can commonly appear, has lead some to believe Flower Fields is an original form of Bob-omb Battlefield.

Phenomena[]

Positive Emotional Aura[]

Similarly to the Internal Garden, most people report feeling happy and content when in this level. Some have proposed this is due to the level's quiet and simple nature, as well as the several flowers, making the level appear calming. Several people have reported entering Wet-Dry World only to flee to Flower Fields due to the negative emotional aura.
