An Angry Sun in Super Mario Bros. 3.
Angry Suns are enemies in the Super Mario Bros. franchise, first appearing in Super Mario Bros. 3. It takes the appearance of the sun with an angry face, and attacks by charging towards the player. The Angry Sun is usually invincible without the use of a power-up. In Super Mario Maker 2, it has a variant known as the Angry Moon, which functions the same. The Angry Sun usually appears in desert levels.

Super Mario 64 Manifestation[]
References to an unused Angry Sun enemy have been located in Super Mario 64's files in the July 25th, 2020 Gigaleak. It is believed the Angry Sun would have appeared in Shifting Sand Land, as it usually appears in desert levels in the Super Mario Bros. series. Notably, a behavior of the fire object that circles the player has evidence of an object being attached to it, potentially being the Angry Sun, though some have speculated to be another enemy such as a Fishing Boo.
In some personalized copies, the Angry Sun has been reported to appear in Super Mario 64. It usually follows it's standard behavior in the Super Mario Bros. franchise, and/or using the circling fire behavior. It also is usually invincible without using the Metal Cap or other anomalous power-up, and appears in very few levels. The Angry Moon has also been documented in a handful of reports, though it is unlikely that these reports are true due to the Angry Moon being introduced 23 years later after the release of Super Mario 64.
